Jennifer Aniston Criticizes ‘Injecting’ Anything Into Her Face & Divulges Pressure ‘To Be Ageless’

Jennifer Aniston is an American actress who rose to international fame for her role as Rachel Green in the hit series “Friends.” Born to two actors, John Aniston and Nancy Dow, she came to acting early in life. While attending the Waldorf school, Aniston fell in love with acting at age 11.

She later enrolled at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in Manhattan. After high school, Aniston worked part-time jobs like waitressing and telemarketing to support herself while she performed in off-Broadway productions. She would eventually move to Los Angeles, California, where she would soon hit fame.

Aniston turned into a beautiful actress, producer and businesswoman. She is best known for playing the role of Rachel Green on the hit  television series “Friends,” which aired from 1994 to 2004. She won a Primetime Emmy Award for playing Rachel, as well as a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award. Her character was extremely popular and is considered one of the best female roles in television history.

Aniston has also starred in a number of films and is considered one of Hollywood’s highest-paid actresses. Films that star Aniston in a leading role have grossed over $1.6 billion worldwide; 12 of those films earned over 100 million dollars. Her most popular film roles were in “Bruce Almighty,” “The Break-Up,” “Horrible Bosses” and “We’re the Millers.”

Over the years, Aniston has been open about how she maintains her youthful glow and shared her thoughts on plastic surgery in the entertainment industry.

With Aniston’s major A-list reputation, it is no surprise her name has been in and out of tabloids and press since she stepped on the scene many years ago. When it comes to her body and appearance, she has repeatedly shut those rumors down.

During a 2006 interview on the “Oprah Winfrey Show,” the actress joked: “No boob job! You know what it’s called? It’s called 10 pounds,” Aniston said.

Apart from being named the World’s Most Beautiful Woman by People Magazine in 2016, the woman is an icon. Aniston turned 54 in 2023 and still looks absolutely timeless.

These days, the actress who has recently worked on “The Morning Show” said she is living in moderation now. In an interview with People, Aniston shared that she doesn’t limit her carbohydrate intake as much as she used to. “I started to give myself a break, allowing yourself to have pasta, a sandwich. Everyone’s very afraid of the breadbasket, and I’m no longer afraid. As long as it’s all done in moderation,” she explained.

Surviving Hollywood for decades is no easy feat. Aniston also told People that she defines beauty by:

“Inner confidence. Peace. Kindness. Honesty. A life well-lived.” She added: “Taking on challenges and not feeling shame for things that haven’t gone the way you felt they should have. And not feeling like a failure or allowing people to critique your life and make you feel like you’ve failed at something. That’s just toxic noise.”

She said to Allure Magazine that she wishes beauty standards would change around age.

“I really wish we could shift our perspective on (aging) as a negative, because it’s happening to every single one of us. We just need to be very good to our skin — just take very good care of it. Keep it healthy, and keep it tended to — as we tend to our cars, as we tend to our appliances, as we tend to everything else we tend to,” Aniston said.

Aniston believes less is better and to stick to the basics. “I think over the years, everything’s just continued to get simpler,” she told Vogue Magazine. “Less is more, less makeup, less fuss, and just more natural, which I kind of prefer. My skincare treatment is very simple. I’ve found that anytime I try to do some kind of fancy hair or makeup routine or skincare routine, it gets more complicated.”

So what does the A-list star do if she’s not getting plastic surgery or fillers done? Aniston told InStyle Magazine in 2016 that her “top three anti-aging tips” were “water, sleep, and sunscreen.”

But it’s not just high water intake, good night’s rest, or sunscreen; the actress has also made her beauty a lifestyle. In 2014, Aniston shared with Women’s Health:

“But honestly, I think just eating really good fruits and vegetables, less fried food, of course — fried food is terrible, soda is terrible. Just fruits and vegetables and healthy lean proteins and water. Of course, alcohol tends to dry up your skin.”

It’s evident that Aniston has a great deal of confidence and comfort with herself. However, being such a public figure, Aniston has been very transparent about the pressure that women deal with in and out of Hollywood.

Unfortunately, Aniston has become familiar with the societal standards placed on people, especially women in Hollywood, to look a certain way. Yahoo Beauty reported on Aniston’s take in 2015. Aniston talked about what it has been like seeing paparazzi photos of herself over the trees and its effect on her self-esteem.

Aniston said:

“The truth is you just go, ‘If they get a picture, that picture comes and goes, so who cares?’ Then you have 30 mean people who sit at their computers and spend their entire day picking apart and insulting  celebrities about how ugly they are just so they can feel better — I guess — about themselves. I don’t understand it. There is also this pressure in Hollywood to be ageless. I think what I have been witness to, is seeing women trying to stay ageless with what they are doing to themselves. I am grateful to learn from their mistakes, because I am not injecting s**t into my face.”

Aniston continued:

“No honestly, I see them and my heart breaks. I think, ‘Oh god if you only know how much older you look.’ They are trying to stop the clock and all you can see is an insecure person who won’t let themselves just age. I also have a fiancé; who will put a gun to my head if I touch my face in any way.”

Aniston posted stunning photos from her Allure photo shoot that showed off her beautiful figure and long hair. That same month, the actress showed some behind-the-scenes of how she gets her iconic beachy wave hairstyle.
